Superlatives are used when we want to show the difference between three or more objects (nouns). Superlatives are slightly more difficult to grasp than comparatives. ​Take a look at the picture for an example.

We have some rules that tell us how to modify the adjective to form the superlative. Shock horror, this is one rule which actually works for all of the adjectives. Apart from a few irregular ones, but there aren’t that many to learn. We modify the adjective according to the tables below to form the superlative and add ‘the’ after it (directly before the superlative).
